Just a little story about winners. :)
Years ago, I worked in a retail store in Montreal, Quebec called Zellers. There was a contest going on and the manager who is French announces that we have a winner and gives the details in French. Then in English he announces, "WE HAVE A WEINER! A WEINER!"
Let me tell you, there were laughs to be had for weeks after.

Yes Antagonyms!


I love words. I love to read them and write them.
I read voraciously.
If I happen to run out of books to read, I am near to panic. I read any time that I can but my favourite place to read is down by the waters edge.
It's peaceful there with the water lapping against the rocks. I spread a blanket on the grass and I travel to distant places and into the lives of the characters in the book that I happen to be reading.
There is nothing like it.

Antagonyms happen to be my favourite type of words.

Describes a single word that has meanings that contradict each other.
Some examples are:

Anxious: Full of mental distress because of apprehension of danger or misfortune [in effect, seeking to avoid] (We were anxious about the nearby gunshots.) vs. Eager or looking forward to (Until you returned, I was anxious to see you.)

Cleave: To adhere tightly vs. To cut apart

Fast: Moving rapidly vs. Unable to move ("I was held fast to my bed.")

Ah the wonder that is the English language.
Okay I am done nerding out for today.

Why am I called Misscrabbypants?
I don't know that I would want to be friends with someone who is constantly crabby. How much fun is that??
Thankfully, I can say that I am not. :)

SURPRISE!
Not all the time anyways! Heh.
I am the one in the group who will look at your new high heels and say, "Those are awesome shoes. You know, you will break your neck in them."
Upon stopping to get that 50th bottle of water with you, I will let you know that you will now have to stop 50 more times to pee.
What is the worse possible outcome in any given situation? *raises my hand. I can tell you.
But it's always been done in fun. On purpose. Playfully.

I will admit that I am pretty cranky in the morning. I don't like to get up. I am sure this is a shocker to like minded people.
I don't know if you've noticed but it's warm and comfy in bed.
No one honks at you and no one asks you questions.
I need to have a cup of coffee and a few minutes of peace and quiet to let the fog in my brain dissapate before I can smile and get moving.

I don't bite. Honestly. I am the opposite of crabby.
